Dior Exhibition Paris

Dior Exhibition Paris

For a Dior addict like me, this exhibition at the Les Arts Décoratifs was like a dream come true ? There were hundreds of dresses in a fairytale setting. Interesting to see how paintings were an inspiration for the designers. I can’t even imagine how many hours the creators of this exhibition spend to make this exhibition so special. I wish I could have stayed much longer to take in all the new impressions. Such an inspiration! Luckily I bought a book of the history of Dior so I can learn more about all the designers, their inspiration for the Dior collection and stare at all the amazing designs throughout the years!

The new Stan Smith’s

The new Stan Smith’s

trendreport

Hi everybody! One of my habits during fashion week is clicking through all the street style images to check out the newest trends and get some inspiration. One of the things I’ve noticed was that the Stan Smith’s got replaced by the white high All Stars and the Vans ‘Old Skool’ sneakers during fashion week. I’ve already ordered both pairs and I can’t wait to see how it will combine with a long skirt or trousers. Ciao for now!

Hi guys! I feel ashamed that I have to say this blouse and these shoes is my first purchase at ASOS.com. Yes, I know but I’m not an online-shopper. I love to see and feel the texture and the fabric of clothes, shoes and accessories. Just the whole shopping experience is more important to me than sitting on the couch in my PJ’s clicking on the button ‘next page’.

During my internship at ELLE, during photoshoots I see so many clothes and shoes of ASOS. I’d decided to take a look in that enormous webshop, it seems more like a jungle to me haha. I’ve found this blouse with ruches which matches with this red coat perfectlty. And the shoes, I LOVE silver shoes! From now on I’m a huge fan of ASOS.

THE CULOTTE

The word culotte in French actually means ‘underpants’, is really en tendence for this summer. So when I told a French guy ‘I bought a super nice culotte at Zara’ he said; ok, uhh that’s nice to know, useful information (not). Then I told him it’s a type of pants and then he understood what I was talking about. So strange why they call it like that, you can make a huge mistake when you’re on a shopping tour in Paris haha!CULOTTE-SHOPPING

SUMMER, YES PLEASE!

SUMMER, YES PLEASE!

This summer there is one item which is essential in your closet: the off-shoulder top. Most brands sell it in the cutest colors and patterns, my favorite one is this one from Zara. It is easy to combine with white and silver, my 3 favorite colors! And.. it is sexy but chic! So grab your bankcard and spend your last money on this cool item!

BARBIE EXPOSITION

BARBIE EXPOSITION

What if the most popular and iconic fashionista of all times visits the fashion capital of the world? Right, Paris creates a huge exposition in Musée Des Arts Décoratifs. My niece and I visited the Barbie exposition. It brought back good memories of our childhood because we used to play with the barbies together. We had so much fun that day at the expo, throwback time! During the exposition I discovered that Barbie is not just a toy, she has mirrored a culture evolution. She has adopted all the new dreams and ambitions of contemporary life. When you see the exposition you can clearly see a fashion timeline from the beginning till now. That’s why it's so interesting. It’s not only about a pretty blond doll with her perfect prince charming (Ken). Besides the 700 Barbie dolls, you can also see the work by artists, photos, video and magazines that contextualize the life of Barbie for example Vogue and the Barbie collection of Moschino. Any Barbie addict should follow Barbies Instagram account (yes she's got one!). It is really cool to follow, especially around fashion week. I’m wondering who makes all the photos of her fabulous outfits on location!
