Hi guys! Ca va? It’s only been 1,5 weeks since my move to Paris but it already feels like much longer. Living in a big city is so cool and exciting. Everyday you see new en different things. Before I moved to Paris I visited it 13 times so I already knew a lot of cool spots but I never checked-out Saint-Germain in the 6th Arrondissement. Also before I never went out to clubs or attended big party’s because most of the time I visited Paris with my parents.
Last weekend I went to a party in the Opera with two friends from Rotterdam who also live in Paris because of their internship. We joined a party in a cool space in an annexe of the Opera. Everybody was dressed fancy, the women in dresses with high heels and guys in suits. Normally when I used to go out in Rotterdam I wear sneakers, so I was scared they wouldn’t let me in to the party because I wore the wrong shoes. But they let me in (lucky me!). When we were inside looking for to cloackroom, a guy asked me of which animal my fur coat was made, I answered: a very sweet one, plastic. I was inside for 5 minutes and I already got a funny question, so I was curious what kind of night it would become!
Ok back to the outfit on the photos. The dress I’m wearing is one of my favorites at this moment. I passed by the dress a couple of times in the Zara and thought, no I shouldn’t buy it, I’ve already got so many dresses. But when I tried it on for the 3rd time I was still in love with it because of the cute applications and decided to buy it. It is an remarkable dress which you can easily combine with everything, heels, sneakers, flats, sportive or chic!

What do you get when you put two girls together who both have a passion for styling? Right, a dynamic duo! The photoshoot was an assignment for my dear friend Eva who is studying Allround Styling at Academy Artemis. The theme of the shoot was ‘feminism’ translated into fashion and food. The concept was made by Eva and I did the photography. We had a lot of fun during the shoot and we are very happy with the result! It is nice to see we have similar taste in styling and I think you will see more from this dynamic duo in the future!
I love everything about Paris. The ambiance, fast traffic, neighborhoods like Le Marais and Saint-Germain, people, buildings with cute balconies, croissants in the morning but last but not least the fashion weeks! Previous week it was the presentation of haute couture s/s 2015. When I take a look at the collections and street style snaps I always think: damn I wish I was there too! Just to see the buzz of all those people who are running between shows in beautiful clothes. In the beginning of March, Paris will be in the theme of Fashion Week F/W 2015. I’m very busy at the moment with work but I hope I can make it to Paris in that week. Even it is only for one day!
I’m taking a look at different websites everyday during fashion week, like style.com or vogue.com, to see the best shots. My favorite street style photographer is Tommy Ton, he shoots for style.com and is definitely the best! The best about street style winter photos are all the fur coats in the most crazy colors combined with extraordinary bags. Besides all the dark colors, which is normal in winter, it is also cool to see that people want to combine some bright colors in their outfits. Anyway.. here is a selection of my favorite street-style looks of Haute Couture Week!

Hello sweet peas! Anyone went to town this weekend for a shopping trip? Did the window displays seduce you to enter the store? Sometimes a beautiful shop window catches your eye and automatically you walk into a store. Not always you are aware of the way visual merchandisers styled the shop window and what they’ve envisioned.
When I see a beautiful shop window, I always look at it attentively and take a picture. It is nice to see how the style of the shop window is sometimes implemented throughout the whole store. Attractive and conceptual shop windows can be real pieces of art, which inspire me as a stylist.
These pictures were taken in Milan during Design Week last April. They were too beautiful to hold back, so that’s why I want to share them with you in this post. The next time when I’ll be in Paris, I hope in December before Christmas, I want to take pictures of the shop windows in beautiful streets like Avenue Montaigne and Rue Saint-Honoré. I think I’ve got a new hobby! Paris can’t wait to see you again.
